Mental & Addiction Services

Support, Observing Consumption & Injecting Sites:

These sites can help people become aware just how serious the crisis is.  These sites can take down data to allow other people’s track records so that other people cannot make the same mistake.  This can be done by taking in reports so that these reports can be passed among teachers, advocates and its community leaders.  As a mayor, it will be my duty to cooperate fully with the Ministry of Health so that these places can help reduce overdoses.

Holding Awareness Events:

As a mayor, my team will be in full support in allowing events and activities to take place around the City of Toronto to help bring awareness about this opioid crisis is having.  My team will encourage people to speak out loud and clear about what is badly needed when t comes to resources and getting a grip on the opioid crisis.  These events will be used to hear from health workers, their issues and what is needed to reduce the overdose crisis that is causing a huge death toll.

Promoting Naloxone To Frontline Workers & Neighbours

The first step in stopping overdoses is to stop it right in its track.  Naxolone kits are to be available to the public and the public is to know where these preventing overdoses kits can be picked up from.  It is so important to hear from others that are victims or users so that others do not make the same mistakes and can help frontline workers get a grip on this crisis that appears not to be getting better, but worse.  As a mayor, in everything in my power my team will reduce the amount of overdoses that this city is facing.

It is important as a mayor to allow stories to be heard so that others can be discouraged from falling into the same footsteps.
